Design and delivery
naturmetall Pure raised beds are manufactured in one piece from 5 mm thick Corten steel and, up to a length of 3 metres, are delivered seamlessly welded and ground.
As standard, they are delivered without base and without insulation – both are available as options and must be ordered separately for use as a planter. The upper edge consists of untreated, pure material thickness.
Larger sizes are delivered in two or more segments for easy bolting together on site. To ensure structural stability, reinforcing struts are required depending on size; these are included in the scope of delivery.
The colour-coated version additionally receives a high-quality, highly scratch-resistant paint finish. In stainless steel, too, Pure is made from 5 mm thick material.
Corten steel with rust patina
3 mm thick CorTen steel with rust patina. This resistant steel requires much more effort to process than DCo1. The advantage is a product with a life expectancy of over 100 years under normal use, provided it is not exposed to extreme acids. (From 3 mm material thickness)
The special CorTen rust patina is activated before delivery, and as long as the steel is exposed to alternating moisture and warmth, its appearance will continue to change.
After around three years, the corrosion protection and patina process is complete, and the visually appealing patina and lasting corrosion protection are retained. Another advantage: snails do not like the taste of the rust patina and avoid climbing it.
Corten steel, colour-coated
3 mm Corten steel with a high-quality, highly scratch-resistant paint finish. Twelve standard colours: 01 Light Ivory, 02 Light Pink, 03 Red Lilac, 04 Pastel Violet, 05 Telemagenta, 06 Pigeon Blue, 07 White Green, 08 Dusty Grey, 09 Chestnut Brown, 10 Pure White, 11 Graphite Black, 12 Anthracite. Other RAL colours on request.
Brushed stainless steel
Brushed stainless steel. Anyone who values a refined appearance for decades chooses stainless steel. This exclusive type of steel is resistant, tough and very hard, and therefore has an almost unlimited life expectancy. Processing it requires special handling and specialist expertise. With a little care, as is usual for classic stainless steel products, the product retains its elegant finish.
For special applications, we can also offer you more acid-resistant types of stainless steel.
Care and rust water
If it does not come into contact with extreme acids and is cared for a little, the steel can last well over 20 years. For the DCo1 steel version and for CorTen steel, we recommend a rust water tray (see Accessories) if the installation site has sensitive flooring, as rust water running down can cause stains on sensitive surfaces.
With CorTen steel, this preventive measure is no longer necessary after three to four years. Thanks to the upper ledge on the Kubisch model, rust water rarely reaches the ground.
